Kelly Garner Bio

Kelly K. Garner is the president/founder of Yellow Tree Music Group, a division of Kelly Garner Productions, LLC. Shortly after graduating from Belmont University in 1992, Kelly signed a CCM artist deal with Diadem Records. In 1996, she left the road and took a job as worship leader at a church in Alabama. After 2 years, Kelly moved back to Franklin where she accepted a staffwriting position at Centergy Music with Niles Borop until he retired in 2003. She was on the Commercial Voice Faculty at Belmont University from 2001-2006. In 2006, she left Belmont to build a recording studio, Big Dog Studios and to establish an artist development and production company, Kelly Garner Productions, LLC. She began the publishing division in 2009 and has rapidly grown her roster to 12 exclusive writers and presently has 11 songs on hold with major gospel artists. The publishing company specializes in Southern Gospel, Worship/CCM, Church Print & Country. As a writer, the song she is most widely known for is “I Stand Redeemed” recorded by Legacy Five and Dove nominated for Southern Gospel Recorded Song Of The Year in 2001. She holds a B.S.Ed in Math from Auburn University, a B.M. in Commercial Voice from Belmont University and a M.A. in Jazz Studies from Middle Tennessee State University.
